Treat Any Soldiertm is an effort to bring some of the comforts of home to our military men & women serving in the War on Terrorism.

Due to overwhelming requests for ready-made care packages, I started this organization and designed care packages that I actually sent to my son while he was in Iraq and then Afghanistan, and my daughter in Iraq.

Through trial and error (and a lot of feedback from my son and daughter and their fellow Soldiers) I learned what TO send and what NOT to send.

Kroger Foods Kroger Food Stores of Texas and Louisana held their 2nd annual "Holiday for the Troops" drive to help bring the comforts of home to our brave men and women serving overseas.

19 April 2009:
"Dear Treat Any Soldier,
Please accept my sincere thanks on behalf of all members of the 506th Expeditionary Fire Department at Kirkuk Regional Air Base (Forward Operating Base Warrior), Iraq. We received several care packages from Treat Any Soldier, provided by The Kroger Company in Texas and Louisiana.
Each and every one of us greatly appreciates your generous support for the troops. Our unit is comprised of mostly Air Force Reserve members and 2- Active Duty members. We are a Fire & Emergency Services unit from reserve bases from across the USA. We have units from Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Ohio, and Washington State. Our active duty firefighters are from bases in Louisiana and England.
It's a great feeling to know to people take time out of their busy schedule to pack the boxes and ship them out. We're fortunate to have organizations like yours and businesses stepping forward to help out. You do not know how much it means to receive mail, especially packages. We realize the tough economical times businesses and families are having back home and we are grateful the donations keep pouring in.
Please pass on our thanks to all who helped and continue to support our troops all over the world.
Thank you again for your generous support."

Deployed Chief, Fire & Emergency Services, Iraq

19 February 2009:
"Thank you so very much for the time that you have taken to make a package for us.
Your package was given to me at a time that I was feeling depressed I was started to miss home and the comforts that we all take for granted I was feeling very blue questioning my decisions that I had made but when I received your package it all became clear to me. It is good to know that people still care and that they have not forgotten us and it is not us that makes the difference it is the people back home who still care and of course our families who we leave behind. But thank you for time and effort that you put forward."
